Dispersed camping on the side of a 14er just outside of Sand Dunes National Park

In this week’s episode, we travel to Blanca, Colorado, for a dispersed camping trip. On this trip, we set out to test all of the new gear we’ve collected for our upcoming move into a truck camper. We also got to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. We drove from the Denver area and through Colorado Springs to get to Blanca. Where we camped: BLM Sacred White Shell Mountain on Lake Como Road - FREE (first come first serve and NO SERVICES) Suggestions for a trip to the Sand Dunes: Definitely hike up the dunes! (They are the second left after entering the park) Bring a jacket — the wind is intense! Refill your water and use the bathrooms in the Visitor Center IF YOU BRING YOUR DOG, BRING THEM BOOTIES TO PROTECT THEIR PAWS.
