ONZE AMBASSADE FESTIVAL 2021: Han Bennink en Joris Roelofs

Clarinetist and alto saxophonist Joris Roelofs is one of the most adventurous musicians of the young generation of Dutch free Jazz. Starting out as a genuine bebopper, he has developed into a versatile reed player who doesn't shy away from the most daring experiments. He regularly performs with the virtuoso drummer Han Bennink, a pioneer percussionist very few have ever dared compete with. The duo sit comfortably in a style in which avant-garde and jazz tradition embrace each other with a lot of musical risk taken.
