2019-09-29 Yo Soy Tu Mismo: Michael James discusses the life and poetry of Sadhu Om

On the fourth and final day of a retreat organised by ‘Yo Soy Tu Mismo’ (a group of Spanish devotees of Bhagavan Sri Ramana) on 29th September 2019, Michael James discusses the life and poetry of Sadhu Om, explaining that his real life was not his outer life but his inner life, and that to appreciate that and the depth of his devotion and surrender to Bhagavan Ramana and his teachings we need to read his heart-melting poems and songs. Whatever will be good if I happen upon in life, you know it all and have the ability to give it! நின்னருள் சம்மதமாய் — எது நேர்ந்திடு மோவதெல்லாம் என்மனப் பூரணமாய் — ஏற்(று) இன்புற வேயருள்வாய். niṉṉaruḷ sammatamāy — edu nērndiḍu mōvadellām eṉmaṉap pūraṇamāy — ēṯṟ[u] iṉbuṟa vēyaruḷvāy. Bestow grace [to enable me] to find happiness in accepting wholeheartedly whatever happens with the consent of your grace. புன்மை யொழிந்திடவும் — அருள் போத மெழுந்திடவும் என்னினும் என்பொருட்டாய்க் — கவலை ஏற்பவன் நீயல்லவோ? puṉmai yoṙindiḍavum — aruḷ bōdham eṙundiḍavum eṉṉiṉum eṉporuḍḍāyk — kavalai ēṟpavaṉ nīyallavō? To destroy the bad [in me] and for grace-awareness to arise, are you not the one who has more concern for me than I have? தூநெறி நீதருவாய்! — நான் துன்புற நீசகியாய்! ஏனினி மேற்கவலைப் — படு வேன்குரு வேரமணா? tūneṟi nītaruvāy! — nāṉ tuṉbuṟa nīsahiyāy! ēṉiṉi mēṟkavalaip — paḍu vēṉguru vēramaṇā?
