Crispy Homemade Jalebi Ingredients For the Sugar Syrup: 1 cup sugar ½ cup water ¼ tsp cardamom powder A few saffron strands A few drops of orange food color A few drops of lemon juice For the Batter: 1 cup all-purpose flour (maida) 3 tbsp curd (yogurt) 1 tbsp ghee A few drops of orange food color Water (as required) For Garnishing: Chopped pistachios Method 1. In a pan, add sugar, water, cardamom powder, saffron, orange food color, and lemon juice. Mix well and boil until the syrup reaches a one-string consistency. Keep it warm. 2. In a bowl, combine maida, curd, ghee, orange food color, and enough water to make a smooth, flowing batter. 3. Transfer the batter to a piping bag. 4. Pipe the batter into hot oil in a spiral shape and fry on medium heat until the jalebis are golden and crispy. 5. Immediately dip the hot jalebis into the warm sugar syrup for 30–60 seconds. 6.
