Irish Railways: Evening scenes at Claremorris - May 1987
Footage from a Monday evening at Claremorris in May 1987. 158 noted running round the Ballina passenger set while 078 arrives from Westport supporting the newly introduced Irish Rail livery. Irish Rail / Iarnród Éireann was formed the previous February. The next seen captures 043 departing from behind the station signal cabin departing platform 3 with a laden coal and oil Asahi liner the Foynes to Ballina. The final scenes show the down evening passengers to Westport and Ballina departing Claremorris and heading onwards to their destinations.
