Twin Cities Hot Spot - University (BNSF, CP, CN, UP) 2009

University Junction in Minneapolis, Minnesota is one of many hot spots in the Twin Cities area. University is located in north Minneapolis just south of BNSF’s Northtown and 35th Avenue Yard and adjacent to Canadian Pacific’s Shoreham Intermodal facility. The Great Northern and Northern Pacific once owned these tracks. Canadian Pacific’s Shoreham intermodal facility and trackage westward from University are original Soo Line territory. Along with a variety of BNSF and CP trains, many transfer moves from the Union Pacific and Canadian National come through University daily. Many multiple train movements are common here. In this volume, we capture action at University in the winter months of January to March of 2009. Lots of different locomotives from EMD and GE fill the interest of every railfan on this program.
