Smoky Mountains 3 Day Hike - Balsam Mtn, Beech Gap, Hyatt Ridge, Enloe Creek

This 3 day hike began with a road walk on Straight Fork to Beech Gap where I took Beech Gap up to Balsam Mountain. The first night was spent at TriCorner Shelter on the AT. The second day I made my way back down to Straight Fork Road the up Beech Gap II to Hyatt Ridge where I spent the second night at Campsite 44. For the last day I left Campsite 44 and took Hyatt Ridge to Enloe Creek where I went out and back before taking Hyatt back down to Straight Fork Road. A two mile road walk took me back to my vehicle. It rained nearly the entire 3 days so I didn't get as much footage as I usually do. It was a really nice hike, just really wet and cold. TriCorner shelter is very nice and fills up fast. Campsite 44 is very remote and not really maintained at all... The weeds were waist high and nearly impassable. I would not recommend Campsite 44. Enloe Creek trail is V shaped and very steep no matter which way you go, but is a pretty hike!
