Way of the Hunter — Transylvania Field Log 35 Welcome back hunters — glad you're riding along on this one. Sometimes herd management is serious. Sometimes the pheasants refuse to help themselves. We continued working through the southeast creeks, culling everything from European hares to red deer while keeping the production phase moving. The route kept us bouncing between species as we worked the remaining river systems and cleaned up weaker genetics. The real entertainment came from the pheasants. Instead of escaping, they seemed determined to make every bad decision possible, turning what should have been quick encounters into some of the funniest moments of the run. Along the way we also worked red fox, golden jackal, red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, European hare, wild duck, and plenty of common pheasants as the southeast continued taking shape.
