The Red Deer Only Gave Me One Shot | Transylvania | Way of the Hunter

Welcome back, hunters. One red deer. One window. One shot — and no room to miss. We pushed deep into Transylvania today, working the low ground creek by creek, closing out the bottom stretch of the river before the light turned. Then he stepped into the drink zone. The gun came up quick. Double lung. Heart. Down before he ever knew we were there. This one was a cull, not a trophy — a one-star mature holding the herd back. Sometimes the right shot is the hard one. But the map isn't done. The lakes up top are still dark, and there's a fallow out there I still haven't laid eyes on. Field Log 37 closes the last creeks and finishes the water. Roe deer, red fox, and golden jackal culling rounded out the day. Zone by zone, we're building the full picture of this map.
