Imputing Income to Parents Receiving Public Assistance or on CalWORKS
This video discusses the court’s ability to impute income to a parent receiving cash aid (aka aided or on public assistance) or on CalWORKS (aka aided or on public assistance). This analysis applies regardless of if the parent having income imputed is the custodial parent/parent receiving support or the non-custodial parent/parent paying support. Jessica Ryan Keeney is licensed to practice law in the State of California. She is the Department of Child Support Services (aka DCSS) attorney for Lassen County and Plumas County (two small, rural California counties). She has practiced family law since December of 2009, when she was sworn in as an attorney in California.
