Journey to Spirit Island is an entertaining family film of wonderous magic and adventure. Living on a reservation, teenage Bettina sets out with her brother and two friends in a kayak to visit an island, the burial place of her ancestors. When the kayak springs a leak, they find themselves shipwrecked. During their exploration, they come upon tribal leaders about to sell the island to land developers. Discovered, the youngsters are cornered in a cave, sealed in an left to their fate. But the ghosts of Bettina's ancestors come to their aid and help them save Spirit Island from the forces of greed and destruction. Movie was digitally transferred from an old VHS tape.
