Otatsu (Naomi Fujiyama), Rintaro (Eisaku Yoshida), and Ginzo (Akira Emoto), three young men raised in a rural village, each head to Tokyo with dreams, love, and misunderstandings in their hearts! More than ten years later, Otatsu, now a maid for Countess Takako Kurisugawa (Junko Takahata), develops a bond with the proud Takako that transcends the master-servant relationship. They're like sparring partners, like comrades in arms... and they're surrounded by the earnest butler, Hirai Heikichi (Bengal), and Takako's carefree nephew, Sawaki Seinosuke (Okamoto Keito). One day, Rintaro suddenly appears at the Kurisugawa household. Rintaro becomes the object of Takako's affection, who experiences "love for the first time," versus Otatsu, whose heart flutters for her first love! The love triangle twists into a quadrangle when Ginzo, who has become a powerful figure in the political and business world, also enters the picture... They fight and make up, separate and reunite, and before they know it, they're all on the battlefield, their entire lives a chaotic comedy. Time passes... They laugh, they cry, and they laugh again.
