Paper Mache Dragon Trophy Head Tutorial! - PT 1 - Armature -Step by Step Detailed Instructions
This is the first part of the tutorial on how to make a Dragon trophy head. In this segment, I show you how to create the armature using cardboard for the dragon head, neck, and trophy background mount. Tools & materials: corrugated cardboard, thin flexible cardboard, masking tape, glue gun and hot glue sticks, scissors, a blade, newspaper, paper mache paste. Dimensions for the armature I'm building: background trophy mount is 18 and 1/2 inches long, 13 and 3/4 inches wide, and 1 inch think. Dragon head template measurements: 7 and 1/2 inches long for the top pieces x 3 and 1/2 inches wide. For the bottom jaw pieces: 7 and 1/2 inches long x 1 and 1/2 inches wide.
