Make Cheap Plastic Halloween Props Realistic
Down deep in my dark creepy basement, I came a cross a package of cheap, plastic Halloween blades that I didn't even know I had! After looking them over, I decided to to use a little paint and fabrication to make them look far more used and realistic. By applying a mixture of white glue, sand, and dark brown paint to areas of these plastic blades and painting those areas with burnt sienna, terra cotta , and orange acrylic paints, I created rust! I also painted the handles to look more like wood. And lo and behold, it worked! Tools & materials: cheap plastic Halloween blades, sand (or dirt or corn meal), brown and reddish/orange paints, black paint, metallic silver paint, paint brushes, sand paper, fake blood (optional).
