Deel werkzaamheden Ruyschstraat klaar

Traffic is back at the construction work on Ruyschstraat. Major maintenance is being carried out here in various phases. The odd-numbered side of the street is now accessible again, and it is now the even-numbered side's turn. Community Manager Tim Eggen provides an update. "We have been working on the odd-numbered side recently, which means the odd-numbered side is completely finished," says Community Manager Tim Eggen. "Traffic can once again drive from Wibautstraat towards the Amstel, and the neighborhood behind it is fully accessible again, just as it was before." The even-numbered side is currently being tackled. *Sandpit in front of the door* There is a lot of construction traffic driving through the street, and residents cannot park their cars or bicycles in front of their doors. "I found it very burdensome because there was a lot of mud," says a local resident. A neighbor says: "It is not exactly easy to walk past right now; you have to cross the street every time and so on." But there are also enthusiasts in the neighborhood. "To be honest, I actually liked it," says a resident. "I have four children and they really love the sand; they go outside with a shovel and a bucket." Traffic consequences For the time being, you will still not be able to drive from Wibautstraat towards the OLVG, and you will be diverted through nearby streets. It is expected that you will be able to drive through Ruyschstraat again from mid-June. The work should be completed by the start of the construction holiday (July 20).
