This place, which once hosted the World Ski Championships, is now a recreational area surrounded by nature. In 1987, during the time of the State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) 1st Regional Directorate, the Grass Skiing Facilities, established around the Demirtaş Dam, hosted the World Championship in 1991, which featured participation from Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. Today, this place has been transformed into a modern recreational area where you can enjoy a pleasant time surrounded by nature. The spacious 35,000-square-meter area features picnic areas, walking paths, playgrounds, prayer rooms, restrooms, parking, and a cafeteria, with everything planned out. Furthermore, the colorful slide area offers a truly enjoyable experience for families with children. Entry is free, and there are also designated areas for barbecues and covered gazebos. If you go during the week, you'll find a spotlessly clean area, as municipal crews meticulously clean everything. But on Sunday evenings, …unfortunately, the landscape is changing. 😔 The trash we see scattered here and there in so many places completely overshadows such beauty… I'm tired of filming and showing this filth. I don't want to show it. These beauties should be supervised, cleaning staff should be constantly working, and there should definitely be an entrance fee. That's my personal opinion.
