Then follow me here: https://bit.ly/2IqkgIk I used a remaining vacation day for a hiking weekend and started in Hauenstein in spring-like weather. The trail led me along one of the most beautiful sections of the Hauenstein Shoemaker's Trail, past impressive rock formations to the Backelstein Castle ruins. Passing the scenic Hühnerstein viewpoint and the unfortunately closed PWV hut Dicke Eiche, I hiked via Erfweiler to Dahn.
