WASH Upgrade in Banaadir Region of Somalia
Though the Nagaad Project in Banaadir aims to reduce the number of people affected by infectious diseases such as cholera and malaria by promoting sanitation, and good hygiene, it also provides a long-term solution for water access by drilling six wells, benefiting an estimated 8,000 households. These life-changing interventions were made possible by the Nagaad Project, funded by the World Bank through the Federal Government of Somalia, and implemented by IOM in collaboration with the Banaadir Municipality.
