Chiko Rolls - Classic 80's homemade version

created in 1950 in Bendigo Victoria by a boilermaker. this is the best homemade version of the iconic chiko roll. I will show you how to make them and write the recipe below. makes 20. recipe 1/4 cup uncooked pearl barley. cook with 2 cups water and drain well 1 table spoon olive oil 1 onion chopped small 250g chicken mince 30g butter 2 cups shredded cabbage 1 cup thin sliced beans 1 carrot chopped small 1 stalk cellery chopped small 1 tables spoon flour salt and pepper 20 pack spring roll wrappers 1 egg whisked oil to deep fry approx 5 mins til golden paper towel sweet chilli sauce for dipping
