The Famous Wawa Goose- Wawa , Ontario

The iconic Wawa Goose is one of Northern Ontario's most recognizable landmarks. Standing proudly along the Trans-Canada Highway in the town of Wawa, this giant Canada goose statue welcomes all and symbolizes the town's name, which comes from an Ojibwe word meaning "wild goose". Orginally built in 1960 to celebrate the completion of the highway, Wawa Goose has become the must-stop photo spot for visitors. It is surrounded by lakes, forest and scenic landscape. This is actually a memorable piece of Canadian roadside history.
