Durrty Doogz had proven his weight as an MC with his versatile styles, flows and deep lyrics. Let's not forget he had beaten Wiley in a clash some time ago and was moving rampantly and was looking to spar and clash with the best. He found a tough match in the newly styled Riko Dan who had been away for several years after getting mixed up with the law. Before that Riko was a Jungle Drum & Bass MC and wasn't on the UK Garage bandwagon of hype, his style was too gritty and explicit for the calm happy Garage ravers, but his introduction to darker Garage beats which would later be known as the birth of Grime was right up Riko's street. All those dark elements mixed with Riko's dancehall style was a perfect combination. Riko was a brutal MC who was geared towards clashing, lets not forget he sparred with the best of that Junglist era, with the likes of ghetto stars MCs Eksman & Herbzie also MC Wiley. The tempo of Grime was way easier for the seasoned veteran Jungle MC. There's no denying that both MCs displayed the skills, passion, hunger, talent and desire to be the best. Two of the best Grime MCs in their prime. Doogz's lyrical capability and wordplay was on whole level of its own and he raised the level above all the other MCs. It was an exciting time seeing the growth and development of MCs, but it wasn't an easy ride. It was sink or swim situation for MCs as they had to up their game and be vigilant in the event of a clash happening at any given time on a set. Nothing was planned and there was a lot uncertainty and spontaneity to these sets. Rinse FM was an intense place full of raw untapped creativity that was now channeled by Geeneus who had grown Rinse FM into a hub of talent with new recruits Boyz In Da Hood (Flippy Smalls, Delta Force, Crazy Titch & Durrty Goodz) and OT Crew (DJ Glamma, DJ Shotz, MC Syer B, MC Dogzilla, (later Devlin)...), DJ Tubby (Braindead Entertainment), Rossi B & Luca (More 2 Da Floor), Macabre Unit (MC 9er, DJ Demon, Projects, Blaze, Nasher, MC Loq, MC Nuse, MC N-Do,, MC Dodge, MC Skeppy), DJ Jason H, Plastician (Plasticman), DJ Youngsta, DJ Wonder, DJ Leona H and few others.
