The Mini Documentary screening held at our home, starting from the Aegean perspective and titled "The Same Rain Weeps Us All," seeks or answers the question, "Who is the Other?" Islands of Peace," discussed in the talk, via this link:    • Aynı Yağmur Islatır Hepimizi   Produced by the Defne Association, the documentary brings the sounds and colors of the islands of Imbros and Leros to the screen. The event also features a discussion of two short documentaries directed by Tahsin İşbilen. These productions, highlighting shared culture such as pluralistic perspectives, being Anatolian, and Aegean identity, are in a sense works of memory. The speakers at the conversation before the screening of these mini documentaries, which both remind and provoke thought with their rich content and peaceful language, are Lakis Vingas, Ferda Keskin, and Tahsin İşbilen, moderated by Attila Zenciroğlu. Dr. Attila Zenciroğlu After his education at Robert College, he graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine. She currently continues her career as an Orthopedist/Surgeon. Defne is involved in civil society work as the Vice President of the Turkish-Greek Association. In addition, she provides volunteer medical services within the Turkish Medical Association. Ferda Keskin She received her Bachelor's degree from Boğaziçi University, and her Master's and Doctorate degrees from Columbia University, Department of Philosophy. She worked at Boğaziçi University, Department of Philosophy from 1994 to 2002. In 2003, she moved to Istanbul Bilgi University, Department of Comparative Literature, and served as the director of the Cultural Studies Master's Program at the same institution from 2003 to 2006. In 2007, she established the Undergraduate Program in Political Economy and Social Philosophy and the Master's Program in Philosophy and Social Thought. From 2008 to 2010, she served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Association for Cultural Studies. Since 2025, she has been working as a Philosophy teacher at the Private Saint-Joseph French High School. Laki Vingas Born in Istanbul, a graduate of Zografyon Greek High School and Yıldız Technical University Mechanical Engineering, Laki Vingas is married with three children. He has been involved in business since 1983, and has been working in NGOs and conducting studies on minorities since 1986. In 2008, he was elected as a member of the Foundations Council in Ankara VGM, representing 166 non-Muslim community foundations, and was re-elected in 2011, serving in this position until the end of 2014. During his presidency, RUMVADER implemented the EU project titled "Minority Citizens = Equal Citizens," and is currently implementing a new EU project titled "Overcoming Past Distances, Building a Common Future Together," initiated by him. He is also one of the founders of KMKD and the Imroz Education and Culture Association. Tahsin İşbilen has been the president of the Yeniköy Panayia Greek Orthodox Church Foundation since 2006, which implemented the EU project titled "Social Media and Minorities" in 2014-2015. He speaks Turkish, Greek, French, English, and Italian. Born in Ezine in 1964. Worked as a cinematographer and director in the industry. Worked as a cinematographer for television channels such as History Channel and ARD. Worked in the organization of documentary film festivals in Turkey and abroad. Gave seminars at universities. Member of the Documentary Filmmakers Association (BSB) and the Izmir Film and Television Producers Association (IFTYD), continues his work in Izmir at Paradoks Production.
