May 7, 2026 / Exploration of Anseokbong Peak of Taean Unanswered Peak The field in May was turning dark light green day by day. The wind passing between the paddy fields and the fields became softer, and the season was quietly walking toward the threshold of early summer under a clear open sky. Thus, the day for another unanswered peak began slowly. At 10:10 a.m., I boarded a Chungnam Express bus from Seosan Terminal and headed to Taean. Outside the car window, the field spreading light green and the quiet rural village continued like a slow flow. It was a landscape with a deeper calm than a busyness. At 11:40 a.m., he traveled 29.63 kilometers for about an hour and 23 minutes and reached Angol Field Head in Yeongjeon-ri, Sowon-myeon. After preparing for the hike at the end of the tranquil village, he climbed the mountain path leading to the Fumangjimaek. As I entered the forest path, a fresh green energy wrapped around my body. The wind gently waved through the leaves, and on the quiet ridge path, there was a calm atmosphere unique to the end of spring. At 12:11 p.m., he arrived at the top of Ahn Seok-bong (157m). A few of the respondents' signals were quietly swaying through the trees, and the summit was where the calm of the forest stayed greater than the human traces. After taking a moment's breath, he quietly hung a ribbon on the tree branch and left another unanswered record. After that, it moved along the Fumangjimaek Ridge toward Cheolmasan Mountain. The light green scenery and quiet mountain path that spread in each safety area connected my steps naturally and comfortably. The afternoon mountain path, which was not urgent, was enough to walk. At 12:48 p.m., it reached Cheolmasan Mountain (214 meters) surrounded by a group of rocks. The ribbon that I hung on my first expedition on Dec. 24 last year was still there, and a new ribbon was hung quietly next to it. After some time, I came back to the mountain with a familiar pleasure rather than an unfamiliar one. There was still a 5km-long road to the stop of the Shindeok 1-ri Public Security Center. The sky was gradually cloudy and there was a rain forecast, but it was an afternoon when I wanted to stay on the road a little more than walking in a hurry. It took a total of 8.66 kilometers and two hours and 48 minutes. After finishing the hike, I got on the Chungnam Express Bus bound for Seosan at 3:25 p.m. and was on my way back home. The 29.87-kilometer journey and about an hour and three minutes were quietly clearing up the lingering effects of the day. With this visit to Anseokbong Peak, there are now 30 unanswered peaks among the 160 peaks in Taean.
