3/5 Dai Do Campaign - Day 8

Date: May 25th, 1968 Location: Nhi Ha hamlet, South Vietnam Unit: Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Marines Scenario: Following continued NVA activity along the Bo Dieu River after the Battle of Dai Do, 2/4 Marines maintain aggressive patrol operations in the Camp Big John area while preparing for upcoming large-scale maneuver operations under new division leadership. Enemy forces remain active in the region, with frequent small-unit movement observed during night operations. Echo Company is tasked with conducting a reconnaissance patrol into the hamlet of Nhi Ha after a large NVA element was spotted entering the area the previous night. The patrol is expected to be a routine presence check with minimal resistance, while Hotel Company remains on standby to reinforce if necessary.
