In this video, we solve Problem 2A from the Physics section of the University Entrance Exams (PAU) in the Valencian Community from June 2026, corresponding to the electric field section. We work with two identical point charges located at the vertices of a square and solve each part of the exercise step by step: calculating the electric potential, analyzing whether a diagonal is an equipotential line, calculating the total electric field at a vertex, determining the charge needed to cancel the field, and applying Gauss's Law. 📌 In this video you will see: How to calculate the electric potential created by several charges. How to apply the superposition principle. How to justify whether a line is equipotential. How to calculate the electric field in vector form. How to work with unit vectors. How to find a charge that cancels the total electric field. How to apply Gauss's Law to calculate the electric flux. Main Results: The electric potential at C is 12 V and at D is 12 V. The diagonal CD is not an equipotential line because the potential is not constant at all points along it. The total electric field at D is E = 2i + 2j N/C, with a magnitude of 2.83 N/C. The charge that must be placed at C to cancel the field at D is Qc = -5.65 nC. The electric flux through the sphere is 226 N·m²/C.
