Austrian Alps hiking vlog – Stubai High Route in the Tyrolean Alps - Day 3-4 On days 3 and 4 of my Stubai High Route trek in Austria’s Tyrolean Alps, the weather took a turn. Leaving Franz-Senn Hut, I hiked through rain, fog, and slippery boulders that slowed my pace. Eventually, the first glimpse of Neue Regensburger Hut appeared almost dream-like—perched on a lush green hillside, with waterfalls cascading all around. The next morning brought a surprise: fresh snow on the ground. That day’s stage normally crosses the highest pass of the entire route, with a long stretch of fixed cables. But with the conditions, nearly everyone (myself included) chose to descend into the valley and take an alternate route—catching a bus, followed by a cable car up to Dresdner Hut.
