We Explored Death Valley NP in Winter… And It Was Perfect!!

Winter in Death Valley National Park hits different. ❄️🌵 In this video, we explore some of the park’s most iconic and lesser-known spots during the cooler season—perfect hiking weather and unreal desert scenery. We start the day exploring Skidoo, a historic ghost town tucked high in the Panamint Mountains, once home to a booming gold mining operation. From there, we head into the heart of the park for a hike through Golden Canyon, making our way to the towering walls of Red Cathedral, where the colors and rock formations are next level. Next up, we stretch our legs on the Natural Bridge Trail, a short but rewarding hike through a rugged canyon that leads to a massive natural rock arch. After the hikes, we visit Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America, taking in the vast salt flats, the unusual lake that was there and surrounding mountain views. We wrap up the video at Harmony Borax Works, learning about Death Valley’s mining history and the role borax played in shaping the region.
