Reparando una sierra caladora que ya no sujeta las seguetas

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to repair a jigsaw that, although still functional, had a very common problem: a broken blade was stuck inside the mechanism. The customer told me that when they tried to install new blades, they wouldn't fit properly because of the stuck piece. If you want to learn how to identify this type of problem and fix it practically, stay until the end of the video because I'll explain each step of the diagnostic, disassembly, and repair process. 🔧 Step 1: Identifying the Problem The first step was to check the area where the blade was stuck. Using a punch, I removed the thread, which wasn't tight, and with a screwdriver, I confirmed that there was indeed an internal blockage. In these types of cases, it's important to determine if the piece can be removed with heat or if it's necessary to disassemble more parts of the tool. 🔥 Step 2: Applying Heat and Precision Tapping I used a blowtorch to apply heat to the affected area and, with the help of a screwdriver, gently tapped it to try to loosen the part. However, the pivot was too tight and couldn't be easily removed. 🪛 Step 3: Disassembling the Head Faced with this difficulty, I proceeded to disassemble the jigsaw. I removed the screws holding the head cover and, using a knife, separated the pieces. This step is essential to access the internal mechanism and work directly on the area where the blade was stuck. ⚙️ Step 4: Removing the Pivot I tried to drill the pivot with a rotary tool, but due to its thickness, it wasn't possible. So I placed the part in a drill press, applied oil to make the job easier, and drilled a hole that allowed me to pry it out. After several attempts and with a lot of patience, I managed to remove the piece of blade that was blocking the mechanism. 🔄 Step 5: Jigsaw Assembly Once the stuck piece was removed, I proceeded to reassemble the saw: I put the screws back in place. I adjusted the head cover. I checked that all the parts were properly aligned. Finally, I plugged in the tool and verified that it worked perfectly. To demonstrate this, I installed a new blade as an example, and the jigsaw worked without any problems. ✅ Conclusion The problem was solely due to a broken piece of blade that had become stuck in the mechanism. This type of problem is more common than it seems and can be solved with patience, the right tools, and a little ingenuity. Thanks to this procedure, the jigsaw was ready to continue working without needing to replace expensive parts. 🙌 Goodbye I hope this tutorial has been helpful in learning how to repair a jigsaw with a jammed blade.
