Reparación de router para madera que no gira

🔧🛠️ Milling Machine Repair | Complete Diagnostic and Replacement of Damaged Bearings ⚙️🔥 In this video, I show you step-by-step how to diagnose and repair a router that arrived at the shop due to loss of power, difficulty turning, and a strong burning smell during use. The customer reported that the tool suddenly stopped working properly, so I decided to completely disassemble it to identify the cause and restore its optimal performance. 📍 What will you see in this repair process? 🚫 Preliminary diagnosis without power supply: The shaft rotates with great difficulty, indicating possible internal damage. To avoid forcing it, it is decided not to connect it and begin a complete disassembly. 🔩 Complete disassembly: Remove the cutting tool. Remove the screws to release the motor. Brush inspection: They are in good condition and of good size. 🧊 Bearing evaluation: The main bearing is disassembled using a vise, heat, and gentle tapping with a chisel. It is confirmed that the large bearing is internally fractured, and its broken pieces are preventing the shaft from rotating properly. The small bearing is inspected and is considered still functional, although it is more difficult to obtain locally. 🔥 Armature inspection with a grauer: The armature is checked for burns and shorts; the tool responds correctly to vibration tests. 🛠️ New bearing installation: The new bearing is carefully installed using an aluminum tube to avoid damage. The bolts, armature, and all system components are reinstalled precisely. The commutator is protected during assembly, and the nut is tightened without forcing. The deflector, brushes, switch, and end casing are replaced. ⚡ Final test: The router is plugged in to verify operation. The spindle rotates freely, without binding. The tool is ready to resume normal operation. 📢 Technical conclusion: The fault was in the main bearing, which prevented rotation and caused the burning smell. The replacement restored full functionality to the router without having to replace the armature or other components. This type of repair extends the tool's lifespan and prevents major expenses. 💬 Has something similar happened to you with your power tools?
