New Zealand Great Ride. Hauraki Rail Trail (Section C) Waihi to Paeroa.

This weekend we wanted to mountain bike section C of the Hauraki rail trail, Waihi to Paeroa. It is one of New Zealand’s great ride trails in the North Island. We decided to make a weekend of it as it was long weekend here in NZ so we camped overnight at Dickey Flat Doc campground just a few minutes of of Waihi itself so we could get up early and head off. We parked up at the railway station at Waihi end and biked through to Paeroa for a coffee and some lunch then headed back the same way doing a total of 45km loop on our mountain bikes. Needless to say we were pretty tired so we jumped in the car and headed off to our next camp site for the night.
