Sisters (Oregon) RV Camping // Tamolitch Blue Pool, Koosah and Sahalie Falls, 3 Finger Jack

Linfield Football has a bye week, which means we have two weeks to point the RV into Central Oregon and see what we find. First stop: Little Nash Sno-Park near Sisters — a beautiful high desert basecamp with more hiking options than we knew what to do with. For anyone who wants something accessible, the Koosah and Sahalie Falls loop is a perfect 3-mile walk through old-growth forest with two spectacular waterfall payoffs. The kind of hike that feels like more than 3 miles in the best possible way. Peggy, however, was not interested in easy. She headed out solo on the 10-mile grind up Three Finger Jack — a rugged, rocky Cascade peak that earns every bit of the effort with sweeping volcanic mountain views from the top. Then, because apparently that wasn't enough, another trek to Tamolitch Blue Pool. Fed entirely by underground volcanic springs, the pool is this impossibly vivid shade of blue — clear and cold and completely surreal in the middle of an otherwise dry lava canyon. One of the more breathtaking things you'll find on a trail in Oregon. 💙 A great first stop on what's shaping up to be a very good two weeks.
