NSS #4: szczere wyznanie

NSS - expedition journal D4: forest before the Dział Pass - forest after the Chwalisławska Pass Keeping in mind the approaching heat, we set off from the quiet forest at 5:10 AM. On the descent to Stary Gierałtów, spectacular views of the Biała Lądecka Valley opened up, where I took a refreshing dip under the bridge. It's a good thing the village was still asleep, otherwise there could have been some sensational footage for "Attention" on TVN. 🙃 Later, we hiked up Karpiak (castle ruins) and Trojak (spectacular rock formations). We arrived in Lądek-Zdrój at 9 AM, an hour too early for the only food outlet open. So I decided to take a slightly detour, but stop by Orlen, where Leśka devoured a hot dog and I had some haloumi. The backpack with provisions was finally packed, and we were faced with the ordeal of reaching the chapel on the slope of Czerniak. The beating was so intense that we lay in the grass beneath the chapel for a moment. There, and also in Lądek-Zdrój, when I saw the devastation the river had caused during the recent flood, I was simply moved. To get back down to earth, we had three more significant climbs (to Przełęcz pod Bzowiecem, the slope of Wilcza Góra, and Ptasznik), getting lost a few times, something the sloping mountains are unforgiving about. I think I pushed Leśka a bit, all to finally have a roof over my head tomorrow. Beyond Przełęcz Chwalisławska, under a spreading beech tree, I found a level tent site with access to a stream. Unfortunately, there's a shabby area nearby; I hope the forest animals haven't bought a pass to the forest spa for this rainy night. ↔️ 33 km / 140 km ⌛ 8h 40min ↗️ 1125 m ↘️ 1588 m Visit us on: Facebook:   / @trekkingwithlabrador   Instagram:   / @labtrekking   Blog: https://www.labtrekking.com
