Delivery Day in a T-Shirt First, it all began on Sunday, March 23rd. Four days prior, the weather had been stormy, with snow falling, but this day was a beautiful sunny day that seemed unbelievable! It truly was a perfect delivery day, as if the "motorcycle gods smiled upon me." Given the late snowfall in the Kanto region a few days prior, I wore a leather jacket, but the weather was warm enough that a T-shirt was enough underneath. This time, I was treated to the Sodegaura Honda Goi Store. Despite my last-minute request, they installed the parts perfectly. 🌸 Spring: A Fateful Encounter and a Painful "Oops" My SV650 was delivered on March 23rd, under clear skies immediately after the snow melted. I still remember the elation I felt the V-twin's heartbeat for the first time. In April, I traveled to Boso to see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. However, during lunch after visiting Susaki Shrine, I made the tragic mistake of not noticing the wheel chocks in the parking lot and damaging the front pipe... I also have fond memories of desperately trying to soothe myself with a delicious meal. 🔧 Summer: Graduating from the Monster Bike and Evolving to My Own Spec In May, the break-in period was over. While the power was modest compared to my previous 150-horsepower GSX-S1000, it made me realize the joy of using it to its full potential. In June, I replaced the damaged pipe with a coveted SP Tadao "Powerbox Pipe." My concerns about interference with guards were resolved, resulting in the ideal ride feel. Over the summer, my YouTube subscriber count surpassed 1,000, and I braved the heat to complete the 3,000km ride. Starting out in the fog, I tackled the "rough roads" of National Route 352, riddled with washouts and falling rocks. Thanks to the SV650's lightweight frame and custom Atelier Beans seat, I barely felt tired even when riding all the way to the breathtaking Bandai-Azuma Skyline. I was once again impressed by this bike's incredible potential. 🏁 Closing Out 2025 Today, I've reached 5,500km. I'm convinced that choosing the SV650 as my "finishing bike" was the right decision.
