Tateyama revenge touring Hello everyone! This time, I went on a cherry blossom viewing tour to Tateyama in Minamiboso using the first touring plan of 2026. Last year, the first time I rode on the highway after switching to the SV650 was also for cherry blossom viewing using this "Touring Plan 2025," but a year has passed since then... Before I could even reflect on it, it was so cold! I seriously thought I was going to freeze. I made an emergency refuge at Ichihara SA, warmed myself with a hot coffee, and put on a long-sleeved T-shirt. I didn't think I'd need it, but I'm glad I brought it! And when I returned to the motorcycle parking area, I saw a strange sight? An astonishing Suzuki dominance! A fateful encounter There were four motorcycles lined up, and three of them were Suzukis. The ratio of bikes here is so unusual that you might wonder, "Is this a factory in Hamamatsu?" But the surprises don't end there. Lo and behold, there's an SV650 parked there that's the exact same color as mine! Just as I was putting on my helmet to leave, the owner returned, so I chatted with him for a bit. I was able to instantly connect with a complete stranger. This is the power of the "Suzuki virus." It was a short time, but it was an incredibly meaningful conversation! One year later. Introducing my evolved "SV" Taking a break at the "Hotada Elementary School" roadside station. Let me introduce four customizations that have changed since a year ago! Full LED lighting conversion When my headlights reached the end of their lifespan at the end of last year, I took the opportunity to completely replace all the "lighting" components, including the turn signals! It's now a super-bright setup for safe riding at night. Special tuck-roll seat I added a low-rebound urethane coating to the genuine optional tuck-roll seat that was installed when I took delivery of the bike. Last May, I commissioned Atelier Beans to replace my stock seat, and the custom seat they delivered was so good that I'd been using my other seat less often. However, I couldn't resist using my tuck-roll seat, so this time I had it modified with low-rebound urethane. The result? It's exactly what you'd expect from low-rebound urethane – it gently absorbs pressure on my bottom, making it incredibly comfortable. Kaedia Neo-Classic Mirrors Changed from shark mirrors. The classic look suits the SV's round headlights perfectly! SP Tadao Power Box Pipe Actually, last year during cherry blossom viewing, I ran over a wheel stop and damaged the front pipe… (tears). It was a blessing in disguise, as I replaced it with this magical pipe that dramatically changes the ride. Cherry blossoms, gourmet food, and… a brown sea!? After enjoying aerial photography of the cherry blossoms at Sakuma Dam, I headed to Shiroyama Park in Tateyama. The blossoms seemed to bloom early this year, but I was still able to see beautiful cherry blossoms. Feeling hungry, I went to **"Ajisen Shokudo"**, a Taiwanese Chinese restaurant. I had the **"Shark Fin Fried Rice" and "Braised Chicken Wings"**, and they were delicious and great value for money. I'll definitely visit again next time. This time, both dishes were soy sauce-based, so maybe I'll try the gyoza next time? Finally, I went to Okinoshima, which impressed me with its beauty last year. Filled with anticipation, I headed to the beach… "Huh, it's brown…!?" To my surprise, a huge amount of seaweed had washed ashore, making last year's emerald green seem like a lie. This is just nature's baptism, I guess (lol). Although a little disappointed, I refueled with a delicious soft-serve ice cream at *"Michi-no-Eki Tomiyama"* and happily headed home. Including the troubles and changes, motorcycle travel is the best! Where should I go next?
