Mercedes AMG SL55 Review | The Legend Is Reborn

The Mercedes SL has been around for almost 7 decades now and it is one of the most important cars in Mercedes’ history. Fast forward and now Mercedes and AMG have partnered to create the newest version of the SL, the SL55. The SL55 is the first of the new SL’s to become available as it will be followed by the more powerful SL63 and eventually a 4 cylinder SL43. But this SL55 comes equipped with a twin turbo V8 that makes a nasty sounds from the exhaust tips. The twin turbo engine provides great thrust and also balances it with a comfortable, smooth experience when driving slow. AMG played a very prominent role in developing the SL. It was a blank sheet design and in my opinion a necessary one if they want to start taking customers away from Porsche. Nonetheless, this new SL has a completely redesigned exterior and shares some interior language from the top of the line S class. Watch the entire review to catch my in depth opinion of the new SL55!
