When I was a kid, the 2003 SL 55 was legendary . I loved how Mercedes stuffed a supercharger in a car that weighed over 4500LBS. The car was a tire-shredder, it was sexy, and it was the quintessential flex car. Over time the SL became something of a meme. A poster-car for middle-aged sugar daddies and their side pieces. Over the generations the car had gained a bunch of weight and lost its AMG soul. This new SL 55 promises to change all of that with its newly engineered adaptive ride control and legendary twin-turbo 4.0L. I've never driven a car with these characteristics that I didn't like.
