William Tell Overture - University of Huddersfield Brass Band at UniBrass 2018

University of Huddersfield Brass Band performs William Tell Overture (Gioachino Rossini arr. Bruce Fraser) at UniBrass 2018. The band came 3rd in the UniBrass Trophy. Conductor: Jonathan Beatty Soloist: James Hedgecock The University of Huddersfield Brass Band is made up of 36 members, most of which are first-study brass students. The band rehearse on Wednesday evenings with their Musical Director Phillip McCann, in preparation for regular concerts. UniBrass is now a staple part of the band’s calendar, with the students looking forward to organising and planning this annual trip. Led again by Jonathan Beatty for the contest, the band is working extremely hard to ensure the best performance they can achieve. UniBrass 2018 was hosted by University of York Brass Band at York Barbican. In 2019 the contest will be hosted by Bangor University.
