Melody of China, "Banks of Yili River" (Excerpt)

Soloist Gangqin Zhao is featured here on the Guzheng (zither). Yangqn Zhao accompanies her on the snake drum. The piece is entitled "Banks of Yili River" and was part of the concert program on October 23rd, 2009 at Swathmore College. Dizi (Bamboo flute) virtuoso Chen Tao was a guest musician featured on the program. Other artists included Wanpeng Guo on Sheng (Mouth organ) and Thomas Lee on Erhu (Two-string fiddle).
