Shooting for the Streets - MSFS 2024 (4K) - KEDE - KHSE

Good morning, my friends! Let's get flying! Today, we're taking a hop from Edenton to Hatteras in the historic Hangar Studio 713 Ryan Navion B! We're touring the Outer Banks, getting views of a couple of pieces of handcrafted scenery in MSFS! We'll be taking off from Edenton and flying east over Albermarle Sound as we make our way to Kitty Hawk. Unfortunately, we're a little too high to get great views of the First Flight Monument. It still looks great, even if it's not super detailed from our ALT. From there, we'll follow the islands south until we reach the Bodie Island Lighthouse. I was hoping to take our approach right over the lighthouse, but the GNS wanted to take us straight in, so we'll heading hold it a bit so we can get the views! The runway is pretty well hidden in the trees, so I had us aiming for the highway on approach. Luckily, the GNS saved my bum yet again. I noticed the error just in time to make a last minute maneuver to find the airport. This isn't a great approach, overall. My speed was all over the place, because I was trying to find the airport and avoid the canopy of trees. Plus, the Navion B doesn't have the greatest view when you are low. We manage to avoid the branches and find the runway, though, so we'll call it a measured success! Have a great week, my friends.
