07/26/2012 - Severe Thunderstorm Warning/Tornado Watch - New York City, NY. (Raw Footage)

(Raw, uncut footage) Shelf cloud moving into Flushing, NY. A line of well-organized, multi-clustered severe thunderstorms (derecho) extending from upper New England all the way to Texas prompted the NWS throughout this vicinity to issue multiple severe thunderstorm warnings, and a few tornado warnings as well. Most of the Tornadoes Warnings are issued in areas of Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York, with damage due to an unconfirmed tornado in Elmira, New York. Damage from my observation point seemed minimal, although NYPD police scanner from the 103 - 107 PCT frequency did report a live wire in my vicinity, possibly as the result of a strong gust of wind.
