OLD SCHOOL SWEET POTATO PIE/OLD SCHOOL CANDIED SWEET POTATOES/CANDIED 🍠 /HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I am posting 2 recipes and doing 2 recipes with one item both recipes are very simple and easy OLD SCHOOL SWEET POTATO PIE Recipe: 2 eggs 2 cups mashed sweet potatoes 1 1/4 cups evaporated milk 1/2 cup sugar 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoons vanilla 4 oz melted butter One 9-inch unbaked, refrigerated (or frozen and thawed) pie shell Prep time: 10 minutes Baking time: 55 minutes Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. in a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs. Add the mashed sweet potatoes, evaporated milk, butter , vanilla both sugars, cinnamon, and salt. Beat to combine, 1 to 2 minutes. Pour the mixture into the pie shell. Bake in the center of the oven for about 55 minutes, until filling is set. OLD SCHOOL GLAZED SWEET POTATOES!! This recipe will amaze your friends and family during the holidays They will think these sweet potatoes are the best ever It took me a few years to think of a way to bring out the complete flavor of sweet potatoes Recipe 4 medium sweet potatoes ( baked in the oven )(45-60 minutes at 350 degrees 8 oz light brown sugar 1 stick butter 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 6 oz butter scotch( topping) It's found in the section of the ice cream topping) Combine all ingredients in sauce pot and slowly melt until combined Slice cooked sweet potatoes and place in baking dish Pour glaze over sweet potatoes and bake in oven for 10-15 minutes You can also top with marshmallows if u desire GO FOLLOW MY FACEBOOK PAGE   / oldschoolsoulfood.  .
