The former little chef then Bharat Mahal restaurant

This building was NUMBER 077 in the little chef franchise that opened in 1971 then closed in 1992 that catered many family’s for 21 years. History of the place The Little Chef at North Rauceby first opened in 1971, alongside a filling station on the A17 to the west of Sleaford. The restaurant also opened adjacent to an existing cafe known as Cheerio Cafe, which still trades today. Following the opening of a new branch of Little Chef at Sleaford, located a few miles to the east at the Holdingham Roundabout, in 1991, the decision was made to close the restaurant at North Rauceby in order for efforts to be focused on the new site, which in contrast was a much larger site. The Little Chef at North Rauceby closed in 1992. By the late 2000s, the former restaurant had become home to Roosters Cafe, but this closed in early 2010. Later the same year, a Tandoori restaurant known as La Royale opened here. La Royale traded until January 2020 when the company entered liquidation and the restaurant was closed. The building was then taken over by Bharat Mahal, an Indian restaurant, which opened in November 2021 but closed by 2024. At present, the building stands empty. Bharat Mahal, the Indian restaurant on the A17 at North Rauceby, permanently closed its doors. While the owners did not release an official statement regarding the exact cause, the closure was preceded by persistent issues with understaffing, which severely impacted their opening hours and caused long delays for customers. The restaurant, located in the former Little Chef building, fully shut down by mid-2024 and the site currently sits empty. Many patrons on local forums noted that the head chef subsequently moved over to The Agra in Sleaford. A couple miles to the west of Sleaford is the former North Rauceby Little Chef restaurant on the A17. This restaurant opened in 1971 next to the existing Cranwell Filling Station & Café, which take their name from the nearby village and RAF base. Little Chef traded here until 1992 when improvements were made to the nearby Holdingham Roundabout and a new Little Chef restaurant replaced it. By the late 2000s, the site had become home to Roosters Café, but this closed in early 2010. Later the same year, a Tandoori restaurant known as La Royale opened here. La Royale traded until January 2020 when the company entered liquidation and the restaurant was closed. The building was then taken over by Bharat Mahal, an Indian restaurant, which opened in November 2021. #fypシ゚viral #abandoned #fypシ #urbanexploration #england #explore #urbex #abandonedplaces #uk #abandoneduk
