Welcome to the HBCU Legacy Road Trip! Join Sydney and the incredible young women of the Delta GEMS Program as they embark on an adventure across the South Atlantic Region of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., discovering the rich history, traditions, and lasting impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. From Virginia to North Carolina and South Carolina, our Legacy Road Trip makes stops at HBCU campuses that have shaped generations of scholars, leaders, innovators, and changemakers. Along the way, Sydney and the Delta GEMS learn about each institution's history, traditions, notable alumni, and contributions to Black excellence and higher education. Created by the South Atlantic Region's Delta PEARL Cohort 4- HBCU Legacy Keepers, this educational experience celebrates the legacy of HBCUs while inspiring the next generation to dream boldly, lead with purpose, and continue the tradition of excellence. The project is part of our commitment to preserving HBCU history through storytelling, advocacy, and community engagement.
