The Battle of Le Cateau 1914 - Wargaming World Epic Battles
The battle of Le Cateau, August 26th 1914, was three days after the major battle at Mons. This was a blocking manoeuvre by the British to give them breathing space to regroup and support French counter attacks which was realised at the battle of the Marne, changing the course of the war. This very significant battle is therefore one which will be part of the Caliver Books new Wargames Ruleset publication in late 2026 entitled “Wargaming World Epic Battles”. Several battles from Ancient to 1914 will be included and if you would like further information please drop me a line at [email protected] there will also be details on the website www.wargamingworld.net I hope you enjoy the game and thanks to all at Durham Wargames Group for the play test and support to date. Thanks Greg
