Full Nelson Naval Wargame Playtest | British vs French 3rd Rates | First Look at TFL Upcoming Rules

Welcome to this playtest of The Full Nelson, the upcoming Age of Sail naval wargame from Too Fat Lardies. In this game, I'm putting a British 3rd Rate up against a French 3rd Rate to explore the core mechanics and see how the rules play on the tabletop. Throughout the game, I take a look at how the action dice system works, including sailing, leadership, and gunnery, as well as how firing is resolved during combat. This isn't a full review of the rules, but rather an opportunity to get an early look at what Full Nelson has to offer and how the various mechanics come together during play. If you're interested in historical naval wargaming, the Age of Sail, or upcoming releases from Too Fat Lardies, I hope this playtest gives you a useful overview of the game. Let me know what you think of the mechanics in the comments, and if you enjoy the video, please consider liking and subscribing for more wargaming content. One thing that I did incorrectly was not allowing the ships to turn when they were not well handled. As single ships, they are able to turn whether well handled or not, this restriction only occurs when the ships are in Squadron or Formation. This was confirmed by Richard in discussions.
