It's a common home-cooked meal in France, but it's personally my favorite gratin. It's just that delicious! It's sure to be a big hit at dinner parties, so please give it a try 👨🍳 . ━━━Check out my favorite products here━━━━ https://amzn.to/44GUE4z ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ . ■Estimated cooking time: 40 minutes ■Ingredients: for 3-4 servings [Mashed Potatoes] ◯ Potatoes 400g ◯ Butter 30g ◯ Milk 100mL [A] Grated cheese 30g [A] Salt 3g [A] Coarsely ground black pepper [Meat Sauce] ◯ Olive oil 1 tbsp ◯ Garlic 1 clove (5g) [B] Mixed ground meat 300g [B] Salt 2 pinches [B] Coarsely ground black pepper [C] Onion 1/2 [C] Carrot 1/2 [C] Celery 1/2 stalk ◯ Red wine 60mL ◯ Canned chopped tomatoes 1/2 can ◯ Bay leaf 1 ◯ Salt ◯ Coarsely ground black pepper [Topping] ◯ Pizza cheese ◯ Grated cheese to taste ◯ Italian parsley . ■Instructions [Preparation] Finely chop the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic. Peel the potatoes and slice them into 1cm thick rounds. Coarsely chop the Italian parsley. [Mashed Potatoes] ① Put the potatoes in a pot and add enough water to cover them. Simmer on low heat until the potatoes are tender. ② Drain the water, return the potatoes to the pot, and briefly sauté over low heat to evaporate moisture. ③ Mash the potatoes with a masher until they form a paste, add the butter, and mix gently. Add the milk and mix over low heat. Add [A] and adjust the seasoning. [Meat Sauce] ① Heat the olive oil and garlic in a frying pan over low heat until bubbling. Add [B] and briefly sauté until browned. Add [C] and sauté over low heat until softened. ② Add the red wine and bring to a boil. Add the canned tomatoes and bay leaf, and simmer over medium heat until the liquid is reduced by half. Season with salt and coarsely ground black pepper. [Assembly] ① Spread the meat sauce in a heatproof dish, top with the mashed potatoes, and smooth the surface with a spatula. ② Sprinkle with pizza cheese and grated cheese, bake in a 446°F (230°C) oven for about 10 minutes, and garnish with Italian parsley. . ■POINT ☆Starting the potatoes in cold water and simmering slowly will make them sweeter. ☆Thoroughly sautéing the onion, carrot, and celery will add depth and make the meat sauce more delicious. ☆Simmering the canned tomatoes to reduce them will enhance their sweetness and richness. .#EntertainingDishes #PartyRecipes #HomePartyRecipes #MeatSauce #Gratin
