Ninety One always seem to have such a distinctive sound, but this track felt especially smooth, catchy and full of personality. My favourite part was definitely the bridge or pre-chorus. The way it built towards the chorus was so satisfying, and then when the chorus finally arrived it was instantly addictive. The transition worked perfectly and made the hook hit even harder. Every voice brought something different to the track, and the vocal tones blended together so well. Even without understanding every word, the melodies carried so much feeling and made the song incredibly easy to connect with. Then ZAQ came in with the rap... BROOOO! His verse completely lifted the energy and gave the track another dimension. The flow, confidence and delivery were exactly what the song needed at that moment, and it reminded me again why he always stands out. The music video was also really creative and matched the playful, colourful energy of the song perfectly. Ninety One continue to show me why they are such an important and unique group in Kazakhstan’s music scene. They have their own style, their own sound and somehow every member still gets a chance to shine.
