Holsworthy mega solar farm on BBC Spotlight, 15 Oct 2025
Devon CPRE is supporting the local community near Holsworthy in spearheading a campaign to ward off plans for a mega solar farm that would cover 2,700 acres, 10 times the size of any previous proposal. BBC Spotlight ran a long segment on the issue, including an interview with Devon CPRE Chairman Steve Crowther, who raised serious concerns over the loss of so much productive farmland when solar panels could be sited on rooftops.
