They Kept Telling Me to Eat This in Iran

I’m in Bushehr, a coastal city in the south of Iran… and everyone kept telling me the same thing: “You have to try Bushehri Ash.” So I went out to find it. What I didn’t expect… was to discover a beautiful little café by the sea — and a breakfast I had never seen before. The owner recommended his version of Bushehri Ash, along with a unique dish he created himself: fried eggs with dates, sesame seeds, and burnt butter. Simple… but incredibly delicious. From fresh bread to ginger juice and traditional tea, this experience showed me a completely different side of food culture in Iran. After breakfast, I took a walk along the beachside. I’ll be in Bushehr for a few more days—stay tuned.
