I had the opportunity to test drive the new Volkswagen Golf GTI 2025 and took it out on the highway for a leisurely drive — and I can say that the overall impression is extremely pleasant. The model has the classic 2.0 TSI engine with 265 hp under the hood, which offers an excellent balance between performance and comfort. It is lively enough for satisfying acceleration, but at the same time remains stable and quiet in cruising mode. On the highway it gives you a feeling of control and refinement, with a 7-speed DSG box that shifts smoothly and efficiently, and the 2.0 TSI engine helps you cope brilliantly even at high speeds. The suspension is well calibrated — it doesn't throw you out of your seat, but it doesn't let you feel all the bumps either. As a starting price, the 2025 Golf GTI has an indicative cost of approximately ~33,000 € in Romania (VAT included) for the base version — a good benchmark for those looking for uncompromising performance in the compact hot hatch class.
